First Guests Confirmed for the San Patrizio Livorno Festival 2024

The San Patrizio Livorno Festival excitedly announces the first guests for the 2024 edition: Ola Majekodunmi, William Wall, and the welcomed return of Federico Platania, the festival’s “resident Beckettian.” These leading figures in culture and literature between Ireland and Italy promise to enrich the program with their valuable contributions.

Raised in Dublin, Ola Majekodunmi is known for her commitment to promoting the Irish language and producing documentaries that explore Irish identity. Her presence guarantees significant cultural and social insights.

William Wall, the first European to win the Drue Heinz Prize for Literature, brings his prestigious literary background to the festival. An author of works nominated for the Man Booker Prize and winner of numerous international accolades, Wall represents another ideal cultural bridge between Ireland and Italy.

Federico Platania, writer, appreciated for his deep Beckettian knowledge, returns to the festival, reinforcing the tradition of exploring Beckett’s theater and literature in Livorno that has continued since 2018.

The complete program for #SPLF 24 will be confirmed shortly, promising an edition rich in culture, dialogue, and celebration of Irish roots in Italy. These guests, symbols of the Italian-Irish cultural dynamism, anticipate a memorable event!
