We are pleased to announce that the Centro Filippo Buonarroti della Toscana has become a Cultural Partner of the San Patrizio Livorno Festival 2025. Together, we will promote initiatives to spread knowledge of Irish history, with exhibitions and debates aimed especially at young people.

The Centro Filippo Buonarroti della Toscana has been promoting conferences, debates, and exhibitions on topics related to current affairs, science, literature, and, above all, local, Italian, and international history, with particular attention to the history of the labor movement. In this context, we have taken an interest in the history of Ireland, which offers insights into the issues of self-determination of peoples, colonialism, migrations, and the fundamental role of Irish workers in the industrial development of England and the United States.

Although there is a vast literature on Irish history in its various aspects, and Ireland has also figured in the writings of Marx and Engels, its knowledge in Italy is scarce. For this reason, we gladly accepted the invitation to become a Cultural Partner of the San Patrizio Livorno Festival (SPLF) 2025. In this context, we will promote initiatives that will include an exhibition and debates, with the aim of spreading knowledge of the various aspects of Irish history, with particular attention to a young audience.
