An Italish Band, an Italish Tour! Mardi Gras Irish Playground ’15

We already had Mardi Gras on ItalishMagazine and we are very happy to support them spreading the voice about their tour in Ireland: Irish Playground 2015!

Mardis Gras: from Rome to Dublin. And back, and back…

Rome based Mardi Gras is a rock act with a difference.

Named after Creedence Clearwater Revival’s last studio album, the band’s musical journey is one made up of protest songs, poetry, prayers set to music, and a whole lot more.

As regular visitors to Ireland, the band has forged long standing connections with some of the best Irish musicians, playing as the support act for The Frames and recording also with Liam Ó Maonlaí on their Among the Streams Album.

Playground is their last studio offering, mastered in Abbey Road and features Mundy as special guest on Road Song.

Mardi Gras will perform four special Irish Gigs premiering the new songs and the “Among the streams” favourites.

  • May 21st: Boyles of Slane, Slane (Acoustic);
  • May 22nd: The Mariner, Bantry (Special Guest: John Coleman);
  • May 23rd Crane Lane, Cork (Special Guest: Lennoko);
  • May 24th: The Mercantile, Dublin (Acoustic, Special Guets: Grainne Hunt, The Mariannes and more).
